New to Podcasting and Blogs?
Podcasting is a Web-based method of listening to audio files on your computer or mobile device (e.g., iPod). Podcasts are just another name for MP3 files that involve speech rather than music. You can listen to our podcasts by clicking on the Play Podcast links in the podcast blog or by subscribing to our podcast RSS feed.(See Wikipedia: Podcasting)
Blogs are online journals that are often focused on a specific topic. Enterprise Leadership blogs cover subjects related to, or arising from, the database industry. You can read our blogs online or subscribe to them through RSS.
(See Wikipedia: Blogs)
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an easy way to keep updated about topics you like. Instead of coming to Enterprise Leadership to see if a new article or podcast has been published, RSS will advise you automatically each time we have something new in your area(s) of interest. My Yahoo, Google, Bloglines, iTunes and Pluck are all examples of software that can use RSS to automatically provide you with updates.
Setting up Bloglines
There are many different RSS readers to choose from. We recommend that those who are new to RSS use bloglines.com, a free, simple Web interface, as their reader.- Sign up at bloglines.com.

Podcast Help
There are several ways to listen to our podcasts. To listen to a podcast, click on Play Podcast in the show notes. For most people, this will either open your default MP3 program or, if you have QuickTime installed, the MP3 will begin playing directly in your browser. Many Windows users listen to podcasts in Windows Media Player.
Note: If you are using Internet Explorer and QuickTime to play audios in your browser, you may experience a pause because QuickTime will download the MP3 first and then load into the browser. For Firefox users, the reverse will happen, as QuickTime will load first into the browser and then begin the MP3 download.
If you would prefer to download an MP3 to listen to later, right-click (Windows) or control-click (Mac) to download the MP3 file to your computer's hard drive.
You can also subscribe to our feeds if you would like to get automatic downloads of our podcasts.
If you are having trouble with a feed or a podcast, please contact technical support.
